It's a spoon rest, about as humble as kitchen objects get, but this one is made and glazed by hand. Emerson Creek Pottery shapes every one in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, from clay they mix themselves. Set your spoon down here and the drips land in the well instead of on the counter.
