Look closely at the bodice and you'll find the hand-smocking, a whole lattice of tiny pleats with an ecru stitch caught at every single point. It takes real time to do by hand, and against this deep green it is the entire reason to love this blouse. Agoya shell buttons run down the front, the cotton falls loose and swingy below the smocking, and the three-quarter sleeves finish with a wide turned cuff.
