A fine blue and white stripe with a double-breasted front and a stand-up Nehru collar, this jacket is cut on the lines of a professional chef's coat. It's the difference between grabbing an apron and getting dressed to cook. Princess seams shape the back so the boxier fit still flatters, ties button on at the waist, and a little lycra in the cotton keeps it from feeling stiff while you work. Roll the sleeves and button the tabs, and the slitted cuffs stay clear of the sink. A pocket at the left bust and another on the sleeve each carry an embroidery detail, and the slightly curved hem falls easy over whatever you've layered underneath.
