Each piece is lovingly handcrafted by needle felting wool and the color dimension and depth is nothing we've seen at Modern Prairie, and we love it.  The pieces are precious and unique, and we love what they add to our stitching corner. Marina, owner of Freckles and Clover, is a fiber artist, creating needle felted art. Needle felting is an art form, using wool roving and special barbed needles, to sculpt and create a desired object or design. The wool, poked by the needle many thousands of times, and over many hours, takes shape, as the fibers grab and interlock with each other.  Our pieces are made with wool from sheep, humanely raised as pets, in the United States. In fact, Marina strives to show reverence to these wonderful animals, incorporating signature sheep into several of her different designs. Our hope is that Marina's pieces evoke feelings of warmth and nostalgia.  Her work has a dense, solid form and texture. This firm and tight nature of her creations contributes to their beauty, durability, and longevity.  We know these pieces will make a loving addition to your craft corners.
