A New Year's Message from Melissa
Dearest Community,
By now, you’ve likely seen the usual New Year messages — invitations to reset, set goals, make resolutions, reinvent ourselves...
And while I love a fresh start as much as anyone, today I'm inviting you to hit pause on the resolutions, and take a moment for reflection — not on what needs to change, but on everything you're already doing right.
The care you give. The patience you've found. The quiet strength you've offered. The traditions you've carried. The meals you've prepared for others — all the simple, beautiful ways you already show up for the people you love (and for yourself, too).
There’s so much talk about what to do better next year. But today, I hope you’ll thank yourself for the woman you've already become.
I’m so grateful to be walking alongside this community of strong, thoughtful women. You remind me—over and over again—that showing up with heart matters.
And, I'd love it if you would share with me in the comments below, some of the things — great and small — that you've done beautifully in this past year.
Here’s to carrying that into whatever comes next.

I’m just learning of your community and so glad to be with others over 50 I’m 71 and learning to sew I’m finding my happy and learning place there. My 2026 is a year for positive changes also I found through some geology I was related to Charlotte Ingalls, so exciting. God bless you

Always loved seeing you on TV and have fond memories of you as a little girl. You haven’t changed a bit, still look years younger. I spent last year raising money for the RNLI in UK and for Help for Heroes, took me a while to complete it walking as I have osteoarthiritis, but im happy I helped it hers. My gift for Christmas made me happy knowing I helped someone. I wish you health and happiness and many more great times with Modern Prairie.

I forgot to mention in my last comment I do love your decor /home and your sleepwear. So I’m looking forward to keeping up with some in your shop and hopefully 🤞 I’ll get some xtra $ u kno ? Much .. and I see that you did not just disappear out of sight out of mind. That’s a wonderful thing. I’ve always thought you’re amazing and little house. Of course we all did. I’m more than obsessed with it though when I wanna get away from everything, I just wash them the
episodes. I feel like there’s a little bit of something good in the shell and it’s Michael Landon really I apologize if he was alive you know I would be commenting to him but I’m telling you anybody that works with him had been the luckiest person ever he was such an amazing man And watching you grow up is so cute gosh darn it anyway I just know everything inside now and I just got to looking up the history about everybody and I noticed you had this modern Prairie so under anxious to keep checking in on it maybe shopping for something ,you need to know an feel like you’re really something else !! Because you are ..
