Prairie Linen Porringer

What a perfect and cozy combination, our porringer warms your hands and your heart and is the perfect portion size for soups or chili on cool winter nights.  Our stoneware porringer features a pulled handle and is just the right size for your favorite soup, stew or cobbler. The soft, Prairie Linen glaze blends effortlessly into any kitchen and is designed for daily use. The ridged impressions are made by the potter’s hands at the wheel inspired by the glacial landscape ridges of Wisconsin. The glaze is dishwasher and microwave safe and won’t stain Each piece is wheel-thrown by hand so the porringers may have unique characteristics and may be slightly different from one another. You'll find an artist's mark near the Rowe Pottery logo on each of the pieces that we offer at Modern Prairie.  It adds an element of personalization that we think is so special. You'll find these pieces incredibly durable, thick and sturdy, withstanding tear and wear.  It's non-porous and chip-resistant properties enhance it's durability which means your children or grandchildren will have lovely moments inheriting them. Because stoneware clay is fired at high temperatures these pieces are capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures while cooking.  Go ahead and put these directly in the oven, there is no risk of them getting damaged.
