About the brand:
+ Tina Produce promotes sustainability by offering reusable napkins, kitchen/tea towels, totes and tees. Their designs are inspired by farmers’ markets and aim to celebrate the abundance of year-round fresh local produce. All functional art pieces are designed, hand screen-printed, and cleverly packaged in their Oakland, California studio.
About the Artisan:
+ Kristina Basgen grew up in Minnesota and earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing with a Specialization in International Business from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area for a year-long math teaching gig and after taking a slew of photography and multimedia arts courses, she began creating art that critiqued consumerism and globalization. Screen printing courses, coupled with her part-time farmers’ market gig inspired the fruity functional art packaged in recycled berry containers that became the brainchild of her business, Tina Produce. Her reusable napkins, kitchen towels, and apparel celebrate the abundance of fresh local produce available in Northern California. Tina Produce products can be found on Etsy and in gift shops locally and nationally. While she’s not slinging fruity linens, Kristina enjoys hiking, paddle boarding and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
