Hi everyone,

I hope this update finds you all well! As you may know, March is International Friendship Month. This is a time to celebrate the wonderful relationships we have with our friends near and far, and to reflect on the importance of these connections in our lives.

In honor of this special month, I wanted to share with you all about my recent experience when we got to spend time with many of our partners, and talented artisans, from the Northeast. As you may know, at Modern Prairie we are passionate about supporting local artisans and bringing their beautiful creations to our customers.

Members of our Modern Prairie team and I had the opportunity to meet with several artisans who create some of the beautiful products we sell. It was such a joy to learn more about their cultures and traditions, and to see firsthand the incredible skill and dedication they put into their craft.

One of the groups we spent time with was the team at April Cornell who we’re collaborating with on new products . Being with them and hearing the stories behind their beautiful woven textiles, showed us the intricate development process they use to create each piece and it was truly inspiring. Often times it can be difficult to understand the amount of time and care that goes into each and every product but it’s our goal to bring this to life for you.

Overall, meeting these incredible artisans reminded me of the power of connection and friendship. Even though we may come from different parts of the world and have different backgrounds and experiences, we all share a common passion for creating beautiful things.

As we celebrate International Friendship Month, I encourage you all to reach out to your friends and loved ones, and to take the time to appreciate the unique connections you share with each of them. And, if you have the opportunity, I highly recommend getting to know some of the amazing artisans who create the products you love. It’s a wonderful way to connect with other cultures and to support local communities around the world.

Of course, making new friends isn’t always easy. It takes time, effort, and vulnerability. It’s important to be patient and kind to yourself throughout the process. It’s also important to remember that not every friendship will be a perfect match. Some connections will be stronger than others, and that’s okay. The important thing is to keep an open mind and continue putting yourself out there.
