Let’s Get Felt-y with it! Learn to Poke Fun at Fruit with Artist Carolyn J Parks
Discover the art of two-dimensional needle felting and unleash your creativity! In this virtual course, you will learn the techniques of needle felting and how to use them to create your own unique work of art in the shape of fruit!
Why fruit? Well, have you ever seen anyone frowning while eating a piece of juicy, delicious fruit? We haven’t either! Fruit is nature’s candy – it’s sweet, colorful, and packed with nutrients. Plus, it comes in all sorts of fun shapes and sizes, making it the perfect subject for felted art! So why not celebrate the awesomeness of fruit by incorporating it into our lives in as many ways as possible? After all, life is too short to not enjoy the sweet things!
Starting with the basics, you’ll learn how to select and prepare your materials, including wool roving and felting needles. You’ll then move on to the fundamental techniques of needle felting, including creating flat surfaces, blending colors, and shaping your wool to create depth and dimension.
Throughout the course, you’ll receive step-by-step guidance from master artisan, Carolyn, who will help you build your skills and confidence. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with different colors and techniques, and to explore your own personal style.
By the end of the course, you’ll have completed your own two-dimensional needle felted fruit artwork, ready to display and share with others. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, this course is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill and unleash your inner artist!
